Realities of Life - The Sad Truths Your Parents Won't Tell You
It’s disappointing to see young people complaining about everything.
The government is bad.
My parents are not helping me.
I can’t get capital to start a business.
Complaining, complaining, and complaining.
What these young people don’t know is, what it means to be old.
If you are below 40 and you are complaining, by the time you are 65, you will be crying.
I mean, young people have ALL of the assets in the world.
Your bones are strong. Your brain is strong. All your senses are healthy. You can do literally ANYTHING you want to do.
You can quit your job and start a business.
You can do hard labour for sometime to raise capital.
You can read and learn anything.
I mean, you are practically unstoppable.
But, you are stopping yourself because you are complaining.
Go and ask my 71 years old father. He’s weak, tired and powerless.
If at 35, 40, 45 you think you are too old to fight, how would you feel by the time you are 70?
As a young person, It doesn't matter whether you were born rich or not. It doesn’t matter whether you have parents or not.
It doesn’t matter whether you were born in USA, UK or in Africa It doesn’t even matter whether you have a degree or not. The only three things that matter are;
1. Your passion
2. Your curiosity
3. Your stubbornness
Show me a passionate, curious and stubborn youth and I will show you tomorrow's successful man/woman.
Life has never and will never be a bed of roses and you need to preserve if you want to go far.
Don’t give up simply because your first investment did not materialize as you had planned.
Don’t despair simply because you lost your first ever contract. You need to be a person with a strong heart and mind.
Final Word
They say that your 20s are for “defining” and your 30s are for “refining”. So here is a quick takeaway – No matter where you are today, it is never too late to learn from your past and forge the way forward.
Also don't forget to join our training on Business Plan Writing.
Most people who think about starting a business usually don`t consider writing a business plan.
I have read from different business experts about the fact that most start-up entrepreneurs do not write a business plan but what I have not read from anyone is why this is so.
Why is it that most people have fear (so to say) about writing a business plan?
I know the answer.
You see, there are many myths and lies you probably have heard about the subject of business plan.
Some people present business plan as if it was a university thesis or an academic report to be defended before certain professors.
Other people think that a business plan has to be 50 pages long and that it must be written in a certain “approved” format.
Well, I am here to tell you that all those opinions are not valid.
Because there are some ugly lies around this important business step, most people are “afraid” of doing it.
