Top Tech News This Week - April 1st Update

 This is a new segment in the world of Tech that aims at bringing you a step closer to the major happenings all around the world of tech.

1. Apple fixed an iOS bug that was draining the battery in the 15.4.1 update

This week saw Apple release an update that is aimed at fixing accessibility bugs, security improvement and enables users to enjoy longer battery life. 2. Instagram Update to let you reply to DMs from your feed.

Instagram will enable users to host a new options when sending direct messages on the application. The new option will allow users to reply to a DM directly from the feed without having to go into the inbox. Instagram CEO, Adam Mosseri, announced that Instagram's focus had shifted to messaging this year in the December video. Read more here....

3. Google Meet to incorporate new meeting emoji reactions and more picture-in-picture mode.

Google announced a set of new workspace updates which are aimed at improving collaborations. The new emojis will show up in video tiles or in a list that floats on the side of your Google Meet screen. The picture-in-picture mode lets you see who is speaking while you are away from the application. Read more here...

4. Google Search has new Citation label that shows source of story

A new Google update will show you the source of a published story. Local news stories, Interviews, Announcements and Press Releases will have a label showing the source of the story as long as stories are linked to the primary source. Google also announced that it is in the process of improving search results to help its users get more value. Read more here...

5. Youtube will roll out the picture-in-picute mode for YouTube TV on iOS

YouTube through twitter annouced that it will roll out a new mode that allows picture-in-picture mode on YouTube TV on iOS devices. The new mode will allow users to watch the videos posted on the platform while they navigate away from the application. Read more here...
